Gumbo Z’herbes. The birthday dinner for 12.

Dinner guests were asked to bring a 'prop' to the table. Random dishes, coasters, that were mixed together eclectically.

A child drew a railway line in black crayon on chlorine free bleached butcher's paper (Ikea $4.99). We used it as a runner for the table.

Australian photographer Ben Baker (http://www.benbakerphoto.com/) bought his grandmothers antique coaster collection. (The big pineapple and wooden Aboriginal motifs included)
