What Charlie Ate; Swedish waffles, with fresh Cream, Jam and fresh Raspberries.

Charlie loves Einstein, and Einstein, is not your everyday cat. Charlie shares everything with him—they even like to snuggle when watching TV. Sometimes though, sharing can be hard.

SWEDISH WAFFLES:
Swedish waffles tend to differ from Belgium waffles by not having any yeast, and being thinner, crispier. Swedish are usually served from a heart-shaped waffle iron. Louise (Charlie’s mother, who is from Göteborg, Sweden) makes them (above), with whipped cream, red berry Jam (raspberry or strawberry) and fresh berries. 

I found this super cute blog called ‘The last stitch” from a Journalist/designer called Joanna, who also comes from Göteborg. Here is her recipe for crispy Swedish waffles.

  1. This is great. I love Charlie’s expressions …. from sneaking the whipped egg whites to wanting to burst into tears over Einstein eating his breakfast. Precious series; keep them coming!
